A Day Out, Finally.

I finally got a day out yesterday after staying at home for 3 long days. Met Michelle and Benjamin in the afternoon to get some stuff from Bugis. After getting our stuff, we went to The Soup Spoon to have our late lunch/early dinner.

This was what i had. A Penne Lentil, a huge bowl of mushroom soup and a glass of Ice Lemon Tea. This only cost $10.60. It was really filling..

After eating, Benjamin and i went over to Tiong Bahru  to meet Raymond to go down for iWorship 101 with Brother Poh. My goodness. It was such a rollercoaster ride. First, we couldn't get up bus 5 because it was flooded with people. So we managed to get a cab with 5 seconds. That's how fast we got a cab. When we got in the cab, the driver had no idea where the place is. So did we. We had no clue where it was. So the 3 of us started calling our family members to ask where's the place. So basically, the taxi went round and round and round. We found ourselves on the wrong road because there was no bus 5 along that road. After 20 minutes after going round in circles, we found the place and we were like, "Didn't we pass by this place a few times?" The building didn't looked the way we expected. Haha. Well, we were a bit late. Brother Poh shared a lot. But one thing he shared impacted me a lot. He shared that in a year, there is 52 weeks, take out all the big events in church and all the festival holidays, you have about 40 weeks. Which means we have 40 Cell Group meetings to bring down the presence and the anointing of God during the meeting. And he asked," "Can one touch make a difference?" Everybody said 'Yes'. And Brother Poh shared this.

1 Kings 19: 5-8

Then as he lay and slept under a broom tree, suddenly an angel touched him, and said to him, "Arise and eat." Then he looked, and there by his head was a cake baked on coals, and a jar of water. So he ate and drank, and lay down again. And the angel of the Lord came back the second time, and touched him, and said, "Arise and eat, because the journey is too great for you." So he arose, and ate and drank; and he went in the strength of that food for forty days and forty nights as far as Horeb, the mountain of God.

Wow! Yes, one touch can make a difference. This just makes me realized how important it is to encounter God's presence during a Cell Group meeting. He also shared that when every member is united in praise and worship, the Cell Group will experience growth. And when a Cell Group is not united, the presence of God won't be strong. Because unity is strength, is power. One touch can make a difference. One touch caused Elijah to run for forty days and forty nights. I want that touch too.

After the lesson with Brother Poh, Benjamin and i went down to Pasir Ris Ehub to meet Michelle, Shawn, Augustus and Roger to catch a late night show. The show that we wanted to watch apparently didn't show. So we ended up watching.

Well, i personally feel that it's not a very good show. It was a 2 hour 45 minutes show! We were like telling each other in the movie that it's going to end. And half an hour later, it hasn't ended. I almost fell asleep. But somehow, it felt so odd. Cause when the main character's personality changed a lot as he grew more mature. I thought it changed to Brad Pitt's biography. Haha. But anyway, we had a good laugh in there. I wonder why they rated it PG. It should be NC16 or M18. Haha. Really..

After the show, it was already about 2.15am, we went outside to the main road and sang Roger a birthday song! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ROGER!! Michelle's dad came to fetch her. Princess leh! The rest of us squeezed into a cab and headed back to Tampines. While the guys went to Benjamin's Aunt's place to stay/play, i went home to rest. I slept for 5 hours and woke up to search online for a game to play during Cell Group tonight. I'm excited!

It's been so long since i post such a long entry. I'm surprised too! Haha. Well, I'm going to get back to get some rest before i go get the stuff to cook for tonight's Cell Group refreshments! I'm looking forward to the rest of the week because it's my favourite time, weekends!!
